Daniel Walker will be in the Niagara Region on Saturday. Joey can save him a long bus ride back to North Bay!

We should volunteer to pick him up and give him a scenic tour of Niagara and while doing so, inform him of our need for him to be disciplined while here.

Watched both the North Bay (Walker) and Sarnia (Eliot) games tonight. A few takeaways from those players:
Daniel Walker (99) Big and imposing figure on the ice (6.05). Skates well enough and has average to above average skills Playing on a line with Mason Primeau. First one in to any scrum involving a teammate and no one really wanted any part of him. Except Justin MacPherson, they exchanged words, crossed checked Walker and took a penalty. Plays a physical game wins a lot of puck battles along the boards and in the corners. Often positions himself in front of the net and no one tried to move him. Mitch Eliot (OA) High IQ passer noticeable on outlet passes and quarterbacking the PP. Excellent skater Maybe jumps into the play a bit too much, but it may be just a case of trying to generate offense for a team in need. Laid a couple of nice hits on players entering the defensive zone. One hit rocked a player against the board on entry. Not particular a big guy (6.00). Did not notice him move players away from the net the way Paquette can Overall, a good multi-dimensional defenseman who would help the IceDogs. Having said that, my first choice would be Cole Fraser - for the extra toughness he has in his game. |

Very common that the person you least enjoyed playing AGAINST could be exactly the type of person you enjoy playing WITH!

Since the IceDogs are finally healthy, they would best be advised to avoid that confrontation. No one on this team is strong enough to fight Walker without getting hurt.
