He won't be in the NHL next year and could very well be a 40-50 goal for us next season. It will be good to have someone who can carry the load while the kids develop and help us win some games... at least until the deadline when they're more comfortable to take over.
You definitely aren't the only one who sees it this way but I think there are more people saying trade him this year then expected

I agree with you. Trading Paquette would be a mistake. If the team intends to go for it in 18-19, they need a decent season next year. They likely won't make the playoffs this year so it's important the team plays a couple playoff rounds next season for the experience. Also Paquette could return in 18-19 as an OA.

They could make the playoffs this year cause the east is brutal and yes he needs to be here next year but doubt he'll be here his OA year

He's never going to be a 40-50 goal scorer . A good player but not a sniper like that ...

I think so....but not by much. Really hasn't showed much that's for sure. If he doesn't put up some numbers in B he may not get another shot here.

He certainly needs to get much stronger. Hard to believe he scored as much as he did in minor midget. Hopefully he'll get it turned around though.

It's definitely not to early to say he's a bust he is also part of the reason why I've said adding draft picks in trades doesn't guarantee you anything
