Don't think Sam Alfano or Andrew Leblanc will be available when we pick in 2nd round pick #27 and #33

I think Alfano could be there at 27 but don’t think LeBlanc gets past the first round

Usually twins want to play together on the same team in the OHL.
There agent could have told teams that.
I'm hoping we grab Andrew at 27th overall, then Jacob in the third round.
I have seen both play several times and yes, there are both that good!!

The absence of the OHL Cup may help, however, a lot would have to fall the IceDogs way to land one or both. Every team’s draft board (1-100); needs (G,D,F); and levels of risk (CAN or US) are vastly different, but here is something to consider...

ROGER MCCLEOD if you are listening:
Sleeper pick of the draft, SIMON PROKOPETZ, a big solid, quick defenseman from the Southern Admirals.

I dont see him listed anywhere in the mock drafts, which is mindboggling.
He is alot better than many of the defenseman that made the list.
I have seen him several times and no I am not related to him

Prediction: IceDogs select C Paul Ludwinski.
Reason: Ludwinski was a guest at an IceDogs’ game which means they are both interested and have seriously scouted him. Also, the IceDogs have a track record of selecting Toronto Marlies’ players. Purely speculating on my part, based on what I’ve seen in his play, but the IceDogs are probably impressed with his: speed, vision, physicality, playmaking ability and high work rate, which were the same qualities they liked in Phil Tomasino. Watching Ludwinski play, comparison between the two are inevitable- similar physical stature, skating ability and skill set. All scouting reports, speak to Ludwinski’s potential to develop into a high-end player - similar to what was projected and what we saw in Phil Tomasino’s 3rd season.

If the IceDogs don’t select Ludwinski, then evidently that prospect must be quite the player and since they’ve scouted these players closely, no reason not to trust their decision.

hockeyprospect.com (March 2020)
Paul Ludwinski possesses one of the highest motors in the draft. His strong skating ability allows him to create and maintain possessions of the puck. His speed and quickness separate him from his peers. His reliability on both ends of the rink and great work ethic to back check hard and break up plays are second to none in this draft. He is the model 200 ft player. Paul is already equipped with the skating, playmaking, compete level and has a natural feel for the game. If Ludwinski can unleash his skill set, he could turn into a high-end talent.

This 3 minute video does not highlight all of Ludwinski`s talents, but does provide IceDog fans a chance to see some of the skills scouts have identified as his strengths:
<> Speed – gets to where he needs to be in a hurry.
<> Vision and Playmaking – clever behind the back pass to set up scoring opportunity.
<> Physicality – strong hit in the offensive zone, followed by an aggressive play in front of his net.
<> Work Rate – hard on the forecheck; first one back defensively.

Check it out…

FIND AND FOLLOW: #18 playing LW in this game, but also took (and won) some draws.
