He definitely has the talent - the Islanders are gonna be fun to watch this year - just so long as the Isles/ Lake Erie coaching staff can mentor him into a pro. Between them and Edmonton, gosh it's gonna be a fun year in the NHL. The Panthers, the Leafs, the NHL has great, young talent in so many cities. Call me crazy, but the Oil bringing in Milan Lucic is really going to change things in Edmonton.

uber talented and loved watching him play...he was my favorite player in the ohl...that being said, he is probably going to be voted "most likely to be beat up by teammates"...because he is so talented and sometimes appears not to care!...i am so glad we had him here for a couple of years and really hope he excels in the nhl....he might be that player that you sign to the entry level contract and think about trading for a boatload of prospects near the end of it because signing him to a 6-7 yr future contract could be expensive and dicey...super high risk/high reward!

More likely a wait and see approach. Try him out in the AHL and make sure he keeps his off-ice life together while growing his on-ice skill. If he can shine in the AHL and keep his together (and yes it would have to be both factors) then you might see him in the big show.
