Unreal game by JHS. What a pass on that fourth goal.
Don't get me wrong, I think he is great.

But he tries that pass nearly every game and it doesn't work out and usually gives the other team possession.

Knott tried the Ho-Sang type of pass during the last game and the result was a clean cut break-a-way and goal just before the end of a period.

Our D-Men did get caught sleeping on this type of play again.

Looking forward to the next round.

Joshua Ho-Sang promises to answer Islanders' call

"He's focused in," Islanders director of player development Eric Cairns told NHL.com. "He took some steps this year towards being a more reliable guy off the ice, as well as on the ice. He's a mature guy, but he also needs to keep on learning the steps to do the right things at all time, which is normal for a lot of different young men. He seems to be in as good a place as I've ever seen him."

I really hope he makes the jump this year. I'm so pulling for him to do/say all the right things, and get that Islander sweater on alongside Ryan Strome

I am hoping for the best for him as well. It would be best if he had some professional guidance or life coaching to keep him on track, but my fear is he will implode under the new freedoms and of course - money. #fingerscrossed

I remember reading Tie Domi's book - there's a chunk in there that talks about how he was an immature hot-head when he got to the Rangers and Messier took him aside and basically said "ok, you've done the showboating - now THAT'S IT.". He repeated throughout the book how Messier was a good influence on the way he acted after that. (sure he had some slip-ups after that, but anyway...)

Josh seems to have always marched to the beat of his own drum, and it's got him in hot water a couple times. Hopefully the coaching staff puts someone close to him that can mentor him a bit on etiquette, responsibility to the team, etc.. He's got the talent. It would be such a shame to not be in a spotlight where he can show it off.
