Default The Dave Brown Trade-o-Meter

Here's a re-cap of Niagara era Dave Brown trades (in relatively chronological order).

Traded FOR Acquired

Stefan Manojlovic for 11th (2008)
Nathan Martine for Jordan Foreman
15th (2008) for Reggie Traccitto
Brett Oliphant for 6th (2009)
Jadran Beljo for 6th (2009)
4th (2009) and 3rd (2010) for Aaron Snow
Aaron Snow for 15th (2010)
A. Loverock, C. Van Laren, 3rd (2009) and 6th (2010) for Sebastien Dahm
Barry Sanderson for 4th (2009) and 7th (2011)
7th (2010) for Thomas Middup
Adrian Volpe for 15th (2010)
15th (2010) for Kyle Steckley
Scott Fletcher for 8th (2010)
2nd (2010), 4th (2011), LON 8th (2010) for Jeremy Smith, Patick Lee
Josh Day, 7th (2009) for Mike Hasson, 3rd (2009)
Andrew Merrett for 5th (2011)
John Cullen for 5th (2010)
David McMullen for 10th (2009)
Matt Sisca for Dylan Wood and 2nd (2010)
rights to Lucas Lessio for 2nd (2010), 15th (2011-cond)----15th round becomes 2nd (2012) and 2nd (2013) for Lessio playing one season, additional 2x3rd (2011) and 4th (2011) for Lessio playing two seasons. Niagara also gets 8th overall in 2010 from league as compensation.

I think everything is correct and I don't think there are any that I've missed.

Some great trades (Dahm, Foreman), a lot of irrelevant moves, and only one stinker (Aaron Snow)

Yah the Snow was a stinker, but Traccitto for a 15th was good. Other than that, no headline news stuff. I'd expect him to be trading veteran talent this year for stuff that could make us hot in 2 yrs.

I think you'll see any one or 2 of these guys moved and nothing will be major:

Schistel, Day, Maione, and one of the goalies. Most likely in return they would get an OA and someones backup with a year or 2 under his belt for a bit more stability in goal. Seeing that Day is the only OA left makes me believe Schistel is the one that will be on the move to add an OA.

Wouldn't be surprised if Stefan Legein returns to Niagara.

Legein thing was just a hunch............it's far fetched, but it wouldn't surprise me seeing it seems that they still hold his OHL rights. I guess it would all depend on how they assess his fitness level in Columbus. That, I think will ultimately determine if they assign him to Cuse or Jr.

I'm not sure he'd be willing to play here if given the opportunity

Trust me I was someone who knocked him for his attitude last year.....I'm not his biggest fan.......does he have great skill yes, could he help this team up front, yes, could he possibly get sent down and then traded, yes.....I was just throwing it out there. I wasn't saying I wanted him here. Just saying I wouldn't be suprised.
