There is zero doubt in my mind that they will be us twice.
Hell, they got 2 points from a sleeping Ottawa squad last weekend.
Anything is possible and I do not see our boys picking up even a single point from now till he end.

The result of last year's maybe not so wise all in mode.

RSJ, just so long as everybody(IceDogs staff, players) plays ball, and sees the big picture. If all goes well, we will only have to hold our collective noses a little while longer.
Never in my history of junior hockey fandom have I wanted a season over and done with more...
You really just have to step back a bit and see the big picture...

Just as a rental Fantilli is going to be worth close to that initial payment. Its not going to happen but that would be good value for any team.
I think you're way underestimating what it would take to get a first overall pick who is guaranteed to play 3 years.

It would likely cost far more than they got for Tomasino.

I agree

This is by far the worst jr hockey I have ever witnessed... I cannot wait for the season to end and I really have no desire to watch any playoff games if they make it.

I really do not look forward to going to the games right now ... I am fine with a rebuild, I knew it was on deck this year ...

I just think the players that are our future really don?t look to me like they developed much at all this year and some I think have regressed

Add in the fact I think we are handcuffed with the clown behind the bench, and, the goalie who was actually worth paying to see is on the shelf until next year, oh, and one of the big aces up our sleeve at the trade deadline which was Lodnia is still here (and I love how our clueless media didn?t ask Icedogs management WHY he is still here), well, let?s just say I could find better things to do with my time !

Go fronts go
Go troops go

I posted that but was actually unsure of the cost of a player declared defected. Should have mentioned that in the post. For some reason I thought the cost for a player declared defective was a pre set number of picks (3 - 2nd and 3 - 3rds) and no players can be included in the trade. Is that incorrect? Are the number of picks negotiated?

This kind of answers my question. Didnít know there were two compensation picks for a top 5 pick. So you can exceed that number of 2nds and 3rds

The Petes dealt Cuylle to Windsor for seven draft picks and under the OHL's defected player rule received two additional compensation picks including the fifth overall pick in 2019 and another pick at the end of the 2019 second round since Cuylle was a top five pick. Windsor sent three second-round picks, three thirds and a fifth to the Petes.

It's the biggest haul a team has received for a defected player under current compensation rules. It exceeds what was paid for Max Domi, Victor Mete or Ryan McLeod.
