Penalties are definitely a problem especially from the vets on this team. Goaltending doesn’t surprise me I didn’t mind the 1st 2nd or 6th goals but thought maybe he could’ve/should’ve stopped the rest. If this team is what I think it is then this they are definitely wired for offence especially the top two lines but they should get better at the 200 foot game as the year goes on especially with more time to practice together and the turnovers are normal for this league happens to every team . It sounded like Bukac was fine. Schaefer won’t stop sticking his leg or trying to hit everyone that’s just how he plays. I don’t think Howard kills penalties if the D in healthy heck he’s probably not even playing but for now he’s what they have. As for them being bad coaching decisions it’s game one Billy and company will take what worked and figure the rest out eventually but maybe not till the team is 100% healthy on D

Sorry OHLfan1993, but referring to a couple of young kids as [edited] is childish, unnecessary and insulting! That post is ridiculous!

Good players, but Castleman and Johnson are not top 6 type. Moving Tomasino over doesn't address the need of finding another top 6 forward.

If it's not Bruder (and don't be surprised if he gets a chance soon), I do like the idea of trying Sopa with Jones and Maksimov. Sopa was brought in to be a top 6 forward, so let's see how he fits in there.

It doesnít sound like you have seen many IceDogs games. All of the IceDogs' top scoring forwards (e.g., Thomas, Lodnia, Maksimov and Jones) have been recognized by NHL scouts for their excellent defensive play.

Iím ok with trying Sopa there but not bruder personally (but I wonít be surprised if he moves up) I was surprised he was on the 4th line when they were tweeted out I thought he would be 3C

JUst a quick recap on Sunday's game.

This defensive effort really annoyed me big time. But, I had to remind myself that we were short 2 top 4 defensemen which hurt.
3 goals against were on the soft side as far as I am concerned.

Lastly, our usually pretty good defensively forwards were more concerned about scoring than playing the 200 foot game.
There is no doubt in my mind that the players spent a lot of time yesterday watching game tape. Wow, as they made a lot of mistakes.

I am also a big fan on having Sopa on the line of Jones and Maksi.

Curious to see the lines on Thursday in Pete's land and in particular, who gets the nod between the pipes.

Go Dogs Go!! At at rink where traditionally our team does not fair too well.
