![]() Niagara IceDogs: 2nd in the East after 1 game with 2 points, 1-0-0-0 or 1.000% Scoring: Thomas 1-4, Lodnia 2-1, Maksimov 2-0 Goaltending: Dhillon 1GP, 6.00GAA(18th), 0.833%(20th) Peterborough Petes: 1st in the East after 2 games with 4 points, 2-0-0-0 or 1.000% Scoring: Paquette 4-1, Isaacson 3-0, Hinz 2-0 Goaltending: Jones 2GP 3.00GAA (9th), 0.962% (2nd) Early days indeed but certainly not too soon to set the tone for the rest of the season. Currently Peterborough is the team to beat in the East and Niagara needs to establish dominance early and keep up the pace until the final buzzer sounds. Go Dogs Go! |

ADDITIONAL GAME NOTES and FUN FACTS
Unlike most sports teams, their team is not named after an animal (real or mythical), a weather system or an historical figure. According to their website, a “Pete” is not a thing, but a feeling, a characteristic, and a common bond. Tough test on the road against a good Peterborough team. The Petes return 18 players and they have 15 players who are 00 and 01. Last year, they had trouble keeping the puck out of their net – hope that continues Thursday night! PETES Key Players: 98 Paquette, C (TB) 99 Gallant, Zach (DET) 00 Gogolev, Pavel 00 Der-Arguchintsev, Semyon (TOR) RETURNED FROM LEAF CAMP 01 Robertson, Nick - INJURED WILL NOT BE IN THE LINE UP THURSDAY NIGHT 01 Kirk, Liam (ARZ – IMPORT) -------------------------------------- 98 Osmanski, A (Buff) 99 Fraser, Cole (DET) 00 Chisholm, Declan (WASH) ------------------------------ 00 Jones, Hunter (CHL’s Goaltender of the Week). *** Last edited by Blacksox; 09-27-2018 at 11:22 AM. |

Because Billy shared the position so evenly last year?

He said he would be going with the hot hand this season...6 goals against is not a hot hand hence my prediction that Incze gets the nod

He said the same thing last year too but Incze would still sit, even when Dhillon got into a funk. See if history repeats.

22 starts for a back up goalie isnt really that bad when u really think about it. Had he performed better at the start of the season he might have played up to 30 games possibly more but he was terrible to start the season and really improved down the stretch... i dont recall Billy ever stating that he would be going with the hot hand out of the gate last season. It wasnt till Dhillon started to falter that he decided to go with the hot hand.it was known up front that Dhillon was #1this year it hasnt been outright stated

Thanks, should be a fun theme to abuse - at least until something better comes along.

6 goals against doesn’t say hot hand but the 2 in the point column probably says enough for the coaches to give Dhillon the start (hope I’m wrong though) IF Incze gets a game this weekend I bet it’s Friday
