Default Six Point Weekend - Two at Home

After scraping up two points in North Bay and leaving their pride in Barrie, have the Ice Dogs turned a corner? What about this weekend's six potential points? How many will we grab?

I think that Kingston and North Bay games are very winnable games. Mississauga would be a lot more winnable without Tippett in the lineup. Oh well.

It’s hard to gauge what a ‘winnable game’ is for this team.. And I’m not trying to slam anybody, I just honestly find this team really hard to get a sense as far as where they’re at. This team is like a box of chocolates...

I said 4 points mostly as a challenge to them to do better.

Again? Seems to be an ALWAYS thing with this team... But that's the beauty of a developmental league.

A winnable game with this team is any game where they're not seriously out classed in the skill department. Most of their games are winnable. Whether or not they win depends on how much effort the boys choose to put forth.

This is a team that can battle, and win against better teams. The problem as I'm seeing it this season is an uneven work ethic. Lax, sloppy defensive zone play, lack of hustle, and this insane (and inane) over-reliance on drop passes. This is a team that CAN move the puck (when they choose), and CAN score.
