Default Josh Ho-Sang Sent to AHL

Tis a shame, he had an outstanding training camp this year and really worked hard this summer. I still would be willing to bet that we will see him don the Islanders Jersey this season. Hope to see him light up the AHL in the meantime!

From what I read, both he and Dal Colle are of age for AHL where Barzal isn't and they don't know what to do with him yet as he is ineligible for AHL - so the easy thing to do was send the pair to AHL for further development and decide if Barzal goes back to juniors or stays in the NHL (likely the juniors) - but yes, the Islanders were very pleased with Josh - it is likely he will see the NHL this year at some point - glad.
