The controller will state whatever she or he is told to by the bosses and no matter what, they still won't go down without a fight. I wonder if the trusted staff worker is still working there?

The other females in the Office are Biily and Joeys wives so that adds to the diversity(nepotism) argument. These clowns denied making the comments. Ridiculous and an embarrassment for an apology.

For all we know, she really believes what she wrote. So I would not be too quick to criticize. Plus it seems partially true, every time I am in that office I do see plenty of women working there.

Another IceDog “employee” justifies it because it was in private? It obviously offended someone. We’ve seen and heard the language these two use in public, now we see it what they consider “private”.

The more this organization says on the subject the worse it gets. If this is how they talk in a group chat when they know others can see it , what do they say in true “private” conversations between the two of them? Just shut-up already and go get some counselling.

Maybe after wages are paid to Mommy, Daddy, Billy and wife, Joey and wife, they are not profitable . . . maybe break/even, are they profitable prior to paying family wages ? I am guessing they are.

However when they were at the Jack I am guessing they were losing money. And no doubt I am sure COVID crushed them badly.

Sale prices are usually based upon multiples of earnings . . . If they were to sell I am sure they would make out ok especially on an after tax basis if structured as efficiently as possible for tax considerations.

Ask an accountant what 1 + 1 equals and the accountant will say . . . Well what do you want it to equal? (I would know as I am one lol)

I am pretty sure this does not help their cause lol

Probably should have just not said anything.

Using the words they used pretty clearly violates certain OHL policies. If they did not they would not be suspended.

This letter will just make things worse. When the Icedogs came out with that statement/apology, some people felt that they were trying to justify what was in the text messages by saying the conversation was not meant to be public. Many people said that whether a conversation is public or private, what they said is still wrong.

Now this letter writer states “The real problem is that a trusted staff member chose to share a private group chat in order to spread gossip on social media.” In other words she is saying that what Joey and Billy said isn’t the real problem. The real problem is the conversation was made public and everyone read it. This is just going to get people more upset.

The Icedogs really need to keep silent about this as the more they speak about it the more they are making things worse.

According to TSN the Icedogs lost money in the last season at the Jack but were profitable in 2015 and 2016 once moving to the new arena.

Real simple, if you don't want people spreading around the awful things you say, stop saying awful things. Shaming a victim or villainizing a whistle-blower, just makes matters worse.
