However, if the Burkes f—- this up, the IceDogs franchise could be sentenced to be a bottom-feeding club for decades to come.
I suppose worse than that would be retaining Tomo and Thomas, and getting nothing for either of them.

Decades is a little harsh

They need way more than just at least one second rounder plus other picks in any deal for them .... any deal for them should be multiple
Second rounders plus other picks
Thirdly ... I have zero faith that JB will get enough in return and/or do the right thing ...

Considering the cycle of junior hockey, five years is about the depth of any screw up.

Year after year the Greyhounds continue to draft well & develope well despite being in a difficult geographical city\location.
Imagine their proven ownership / coaching staff working in Niagara... Not that I don't love the whole 'Family First' atmosphere of the Burkes. However... I'd like to see the IceDogs make it to the Memorial Cup in my lifetime.

The three stars chosen in the rink are a bloody embarrassment ... this is not a new development ... and from the sounds of it it happens in many barns across the league

Would be nice if instead of it being the ultimate homers 3 stars in Niagara, if they actually chose the three stars with some honour and integrity ...

After a game I used to enjoy predicting who the three stars were ... and see how many I would get right ... you can’t do that in Niagara cuz their selections are an absolute joke

Why not just rename it Niagara’s three stars of the game? Brought to you by Gales Gas Bars

Lol

This is not a unique thing here. All teams are doing this.
