Game Thread Niagara IceDogs @ Hamilton Bulldogs - Saturday, 2018.03.10 - 7pm

Yes, that's a dog dish up there - deal with it.

Niagara IceDogs:
5th in the East after 63 games with 70 points, 30-23-7-3 or 0.556%
Scoring: Miletic 33-54, Thomas 20-55, Jones 24-47
Goaltending: Dhillon 49GP, 3.38GAA(16th), 0.897%(16th)
Goaltending: Incze 20GP, 2.88GAA( - ), 0.912%( - )

Hamilton Bulldogs:
1st in the East after 64 games with 88 points, 41-17-3-3 or 0.688%
Scoring: Thomas 23-48, Saigeon 35-32, Strome 35-30
Goaltending: Fulcher 52GP, 2.84GAA(6th), 0.900%(12th)

Ah yes, game 5 of 6 for the Hamilton-Niagara K9 Cup Challenge, that magical time of the year. To date, with three wins and a tie, the IceDogs lead the series 7 points to 3 which means the best the Bulldogs can do is tie. This game could potentially punch Niagara's ticket to the inaugural dog bowl trophy. Even one point clinches this pseudo-victory!

With Mississauga's lack-lustre performance last night Oshawa comes away with a 6-2 victory and two points. Niagara once again trails by one (71-70) and the battle for home ice resumes. Oshawa's dance partners for the last four games are Hamilton, Kingston, Peterborough and Sudbury.

The way Oshawa is playing right now it wouldn't surprise me if they run the table.

Let's try this again, anyone making the trip to Hamilton tonight? Plenty of good seats still available.

Odd that we have such a good record against the top team in the conference.

Much like Sudbury pretty much owned us this season and they are most likely going to get the first pick in next month' draft.
