Credit to Rod he asked him, and also asked about the overagers.

Someone post at the interview as soon as it goes up on the 610 CKTB website.

Joey said Halladay will be an IceDog, all four overagers will be back for now, and Dhillon is the number 1. So I'm guessing Incze may be dealt.

I expected two of the three things. of course he’s going to say that Halladay will be a dog and that all four OA players will be back but the way the last half of the season went I wouldn’t be giving Dhillon the #1 job outright yet and I don’t think Incze gets dealt

Rod did a great job on his show this morning and asked the question of Halliday and also the question on the status of the over-age players rumors.
Joey informed us that Halliday will be an Ice Dog if, not this year, next year. The team is deep this season so, Joey stated that it might be better for Halliday to spend the season at a prep school.

On the over-agers, I heard that they were coming back and that Dhillon will once again be that starting goal tender.

Here's the interview. Pretty much everything covered on the Niagara Sports Report: (can also be included under the IceDogs future tab if someone wants to or can move it there)

Joey Burke - "Sopa has put up impressive numbers at every age and level he has played."

Sopa's numbers do look promising.

2012-13 Uzwil U15 Mini A 10GP 15G - 5 - 20
2013-14 Herisau U15 Mini A 19GP 24G - 11 - 35
2014-15 Davos U15 Top Mini 30GP 25G - 27 - 52
2015-16 Rapperswil U17Elite Novizen 40GP 18G - 19 - 37
2016-17 Rapperswil U17 “A”Elite Novizen 38GP 25G - 28 - 53
2017-18 Bern U20 Elite Jr. A 41GP 21G - 35 - 56 *Playing U-20 as a 16 year old*
<>Switzerland U18 (all) Inter-Jr 24GP 9G - 10 - 19

Joey Burke indicated he knows Bukac’s agent well and was informed that he would become available in the Import draft as a result of some disagreement between Boston and Brandon.

2017 Pre-Draft Scouting Report:
Daniel Bukac is a lanky, Czech born defenseman who posted 17 points in 72 regular season games for the Brandon Wheat Kings.

Bukac is a raw talent. His physical skills are tremendous for his size. He has good feet and edgework that allow him to walk the offensive line well and change the angle of his shots. He also can evade defenders and escape pressure in his own end because he can turn quickly away from fore-checkers. His stride is long, methodical and powerful and he can get up ice quickly to help out offensively and recover from a bad pinch.

His ability to handle the puck is above average and he has shown that he can handle the puck while walking the line on the offensive point. He has not shown much creativity while handling the puck but he can move the puck laterally using his great reach.

Daniel's decision making was inconsistent from game to game. Showing some indecisiveness without the puck - when to be aggressive and pinch at the offensive blueline. However, in games where he was relied upon heavily in a top 4 role, he showed more confidence and delivered sound first passes. In his own end, he does tend to play physically and benefits from his long reach and active stick.

Bukac has significant upside with his size and physical tools. He is well worth a late pick in the draft as we expect him to continue to progress, becoming more comfortable playing in Canada and the Western Hockey League.

Quotable: "Bukac is one of my sleeper picks. His physical skills are legitimate and he should flourish once he gets more comfortable in North America". - Scout Cass Bruni

Let’s see what camp brings

I expect them both to be disappointments so anything better than that is a bonus lol

On the dman the scouting report said that he wouldn’t be a top four d on most WHL teams .... so that’s. It exactly a ringing endorsement

It will be interesting to see what they look like in camp ...

I saw that scouting report but didn’t read much into it since they are two completely different leagues saying that I agree with your expectations of them as I usually think the same way when it comes to any and all imports
