You are 100% percent correct as rebounds and soft goals are morale Killers

That's like saying "any landing you can walk away from is a good landing". Some strive for perfection, even when perfection is a little out of reach. Practice doesn't make perfect, perfect practice makes perfect. Execute with excellence, NIAGARA ICE DOGS, EXCELSIOR!!

Goals breakdown on Dhillion first goal screened second goal deflected third goal bumble the puck Bukac covered wrong man no chance on their fourth goal fifth goal whiffed but then he made some great stops down the stretch.

I agree on the first two goals although weíve seen the way that second goal happened before and he usually gets back in position. third goal maybe Bukac covers the wrong guy but if he doesnít the pucks probably in anyway unless the rebound is controlled 4th goal no one blocking your view by the looks of it most goalie would probably say you should stop that 5th goal like you said he whiffed. Even though he made some great saves if you lose a game or games because you gave up iffy goals then the great saves get over shadowed and donít really matter

Webb's goal was a classic example. He was left all alone at the left-hand circle. He raised his stick and called for the puck loudly. I don't think there was a spectator in the audience or player on the ice that should have had any doubt that he wanted to shoot the puck from that spot. Lo and behold the puck was passed to him and he shot the puck, yet none of Niagara's defense or goaltender seemed to react to this in time - in spite of the fact the play was telegraphed and vocalized.

Scoring goals is everyone's job and a run-and-gun game is fun to watch so long as the goal differential is tipped in your team's favour. Stopping the other team from scoring goals is also everyone's job but you can't wait for the score to get within one goal to start taking defense seriously.

I doubt that he gets the start. With a day off in between the all mighty Dhillon will probably get it.

If someone just came and read the comments, ignored any post about the scores and you would think we have a team that's struggling. There is a lot of negativity focused on the goaltending and the defense that I think is lacking a lot of perspective. Yes, our penalty kill is struggling, it's 18th in the OHL, I can't aruge that, but consider this:

Overall, the team is 2nd in the league in goals for per game and 4th in the league in goals against per game.

At even strength, the team is 3rd in the league goals for per game and 2nd in the league in goals against per game.

I can't argue with a single thing you have said. It's all true, the IceDogs are doing well this year and their PK is not good at all. Now look at London and Ottawa - both teams are ahead and neither is done loading up. What you call negativity, I call realism. If Billy Burke is telling his players things are rosey, then they are in for a world of hurt. Niagara has some definite obstacles between here and Halifax. They have the numbers, we need to have the heart.
