Well it was 5-4 Niagara and the IceDogs were content to dump it in and kill the clock with 9 minutes left. An errant clearing attempt by Shankar and Sudbury ties it up again..... Grrr

Dogs could score 30 goals, the Wolves would find a way to get 31...

Watching them continually ice it late in the third with a lead was annoying. Took the pedal off the gas, and sat back. They end up losing in OT.

And that never works with so much time left. Poor coaching decision.

Good effort for the most part but far too many bad turnovers and trying to salt it away by continually giving the puck back to the other team was stupid. I can't stand watching guys get the red line and dump it when they're not even being pressured. You need to make sure you get it deep obviously but holding on to it and skating it in is preferable to dumping it down.

I don't like the way they play 3 on 3. They settle for far too many so-so chances and end up chasing the puck for the next 90 seconds. It's too hard to get it back in that format to give it away so easily. If there's not a grade A scoring chance circle back and regroup. The most successful teams play keep away and wait for breakdowns.

Man Troy Lajeunesse would have looked good in a Dogs jersey. They got him for a fourth in '21. He's going to have a big year playing with Sokolov.
