Joey Burke is on Rod Mawhood's show tomorrow morning, hopefully Rod asks him about Cato reporting here.

Hopefully we get these guys to report. Often going into a rebuild theres a sense of how ugly things will get, but we forget that we have the luxery of being a franchise that many are willing to play for. It isn't at a London level, but few teams in the East are as lucky as we are. I'd argue only Ottawa and Oshawa get the same player interest.

He probably will and JB will have one of his patented “We have 100% confidence that Cato will report to Niagara” answers. I hate being such a negative person. Love the product on the ice but have no trust or confidence in the Burke boys. It seems that the first instinct is to lie these days.

Enright will sign first, then Cato - followed by Halliday in the near future!

...and there you have essentially the IceDogs first 3 picks of the draft. A month ago, it appeared like the IceDog had no one from the first 3 rounds suiting up for the IceDogs next year.

2018 USA Hockey Select 15 Development Camp Report (July 2018)

Top 10 Performers:
1. Colby Saganiuk, C, Pittsburgh Penguins Elite 16U
2. Sasha Pastujov, F, Compuware (University of Notre Dame)
3. Caden Brown, C, St. Louis Jr. Blues 16U (University of Wisconsin)
4. Sean Behrens, LD, Chicago Mission (University of Denver)
5. Dylan Duke, C, Compuware 16U (University of Michigan)
6. Vincent Salice, C, Oakland Jr. Grizzles 16U (University of Vermont)
7. Matthew Brille, RW, New Jersey Colonials
8. Jack Devine, C, Chicago Mission 16U
9. Dominick Rivelli, C, Chicago Mission
10. Riley Brueck, F, St. Louis Jr. Blues 15U
Brueck will certainly be brimming with confidence heading into his season with the St. Louis Jr. Blues as he led the camp in points with eight. He is sturdily built and can really pick-up speed and accelerate quickly. Just has that next-level look and presence about him as he combines elite tools with a good hockey IQ. Does excellent work along the boards protecting the puck with his frame and then quickly spotting open teammates. A talented player who will be one to watch on a strong St. Louis Blues team this year.

2019 Team Ontario Roster:

Defencemen:
Brandt Clarke, Don Mills Flyers (GTHL) 1st ROUND
Ethan Del Mastro, Toronto Marlboros (GTHL) 1st ROUND
Isaac Enright, Pembroke Lumber Kings (HEO) 1st ROUND
Jacob Holmes, York Simcoe Express (OMHA) 1st ROUND
Connor Punnett, North Central Predators (OMHA) 1st ROUND
Roman Schmidt, Don Mills Flyers (GTHL) 2nd ROUND (Only as a result of his NCAA commitment)

Took some time to watched the gold medal game this morning. Isaac Enright is as advertised a solid two defenseman. He moves the puck well and is especially good in his own end – always takes the man, never saw him try to stick check once. Enright reminded me a lot of Jacob Paquette.

FYI: All 6 of those defenseman were impressive!

Here's the interview with Joey Burke this morning. Rod Mawhood asked him about both Cato and Halladay:
