Sort of makes you think of the Lodnia issue or even Bruder who stated that he was ready to go, but, he was still not dressed today.
Unless the someone else was from the teams medical staff I’d believe sopa did he say what the actual injury is by chance? As for bruder he looked fine when they did the buillets thing before the game I thought he might’ve gotten in today with Sopa out

Anyone know which Barrie player was injured in their pre game warmup on the concourse. I talked to a Barrie player (not dressed) and he said the grate hit the guy and went behind his kneecap. Heard later from an Icedog employee that he got 30 stitches to close his knee up.

We will have to wait and see how the Sopa injury will play out. Looking fine and playing are two different things.
I too though was hoping that Bruder would dress.

Everything that is wrong with OHL officiating was on full display in the final two minutes of the 1st period.

A perfectly executed tackle on Tomasino, by the Barrie DB Richard Sherman, prevented Tomasino from scoring his first TD of the season. However, the IceDogs just had a two man advantage and are up 3-0 so that call can’t be made - for some reason.

Forty seconds later Brassard gets an interference call that is ONLY called when the officials need to call a penalty against the team in lead.

These officials are the absolute worst!

You know, I often hear on NHL broadcasts that they think the refs are afraid of the ‘dreaded parade to the penalty box’. Is this what the OHL is afraid of, too? Are both of the referees out there choosing to let these tackles, hooks and holds go because they have been told by the OHL to ‘let the players decide it’?
But, yep, that tackle on Phil Tomasino was particularly bad.
I have heard that both the NHL and the O typically pair senior refs with less experienced ones. And what usually happens is when and if a call is made by the official behind the play, it’s because that’s the senior official catching something that the younger ref, being in the midst of the play, missed.

Not talked about on the forum, and a great tweet from Rod Mawhood after the game was this:

"With Maksimov & Jones both scoring their 40th goals today...it's the 1st time in @OHLIceDogs history they've had more than one 40-goal scorer in a season - let alone three!
Robertson w/43.
Caputi w/franchise high 51 in 07/08, Agozzino 43 & 40 in 10/11, 11/12, Ritchie 41 in 12/13"
