Game Thread Niagara IceDogs @ Barrie Colts - Saturday, 2019.03.02 - 7:30pm

Niagara IceDogs:
2nd in the East after 60 games with 83 points, 38-15-7-0 or 0.692%
Scoring: Robertson 42-59, Jones 36-55, Thomas 32-57
Goaltending: Dhillon 51GP 2.96GAA(6th) 0.910%(4th)

Barrie Colts:
9th in the East after 61 games with 54 points, 25-32-3-1 or 0.443%
Scoring: Suzuki 19-44, Tucker 12-39, Hawerchuk 26-18
Goaltending: Edmonds 27GP 3.15GAA(8th) 0.900%(10th)

Waaay back in the early stages of the season the Barrie Colts stole a game in overtime. These two teams havenít matched up since November yet Niagara will face them three more times in the next eight games. The moral of this story is: donít go to sleep on the Barrie Colts. This is a team that is struggling for their playoff lives and if the IceDogs forget to play part of a period, they may get embarrassed.

Gap to First Place: 12 points (Niagara has one game in hand over Ottawa)
Clinched Playoff Position: Ottawa, London, Sault Ste. Marie, Saginaw, Niagara, Oshawa, Guelph, Sudbury

If the standings remained the same as they are today, and there were no upsets along the way... this is what the Eastern Conference Playoff brackets would look like:

Anyway, hopefully we remember that the Colts recently took down the 67's and we come out with the foot to the floor.
Iím hoping 🤞 the fact that Barrie is playing 3 in 3 comes into play

I believe that our boys were pacing themselves last night due to the 3 in 3.
Barrie will be playing their last game of 3 in 3 tonight.
I hope that our boys do not lay back and expect an easy game.
Go get em' boys and use this game as a warm-up for tomorrow afternoon's match.

My heart says Mcgrath starts but as we all know, they are still chasing a division title which means Dhillon lokely gets the start... ill go with 3-1 dogs

I will step out on the ledge again and say, 6-2 Niagara with of course Dhillon in net.
The Burke family are way too loyal or way too __________ fill the blank, if you wish.

Yeah, there's been about 10 games where I've said " Maybe now they will get the message. At some point you think they would.
