From Terry Doyle on Twitter....
Big changes for the North Bay Battalion. Stan Butler now Special Adviser to Owner Scott Abbott. Adam Dennis is GM, Ryan Oulahen is interim coach. Bill Houlder and Scott Wray are full-time assistant coaches.

http://www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/p....php?pid=60365. Can't believe he coached for 22 years in the OHL with this kind of record.
As a GM he was even worse. How do you not move a 60 goal scorer like Brazeau last season. Could have had a monster return.

Oh boy, Stan as an advisor
If you count his 2 years coaching in Oshawa plus 1 year in the WHL it's 24 in a half years in the CHL. He only made it to the OHL finals twice in 24 yrs (and lost both times).

The owner obviously doesn’t know a thing about OHL hockey if he appoints Butler to be his special adviser after he doesn’t trade Brazeau last year lol

Man Stan has spent ALOT of time on the bus ...

Well I guess the other solution would be to fire him and pay out the rest of his contract while Butler coached at a local University... or something like that.

How he let Brazeau graduate last year without moving him still boggles my mind. Always thought he was overrated. Played boring hockey, didn't win a whole lot and hardly any of his players amounted to much in the show.

Not a fan of Butler, but, we should give a thought that maybe Brazeau exercised his no trade clause and refused to re-locate for a few months.
