One six point weekend and suddenly a powerplay isn't essential to winning?

6 of a possible 6 points. it's not how, it's how many.

The power play is important definitely just less of a worry when they win

I think because we have so many strong forwards, it follows that putting five of our best on one shift should create chaos for the other team. That doesn't necessarily follow. Our defenders, who are also strong, should be providing support in keeping the puck in the zone, so the forwards can concentrate on offence knowing their backs are covered. Just try something different. This should be a strong suit of our team, not just another line. Why not take advantage of the whistle-happy refs in the OHL. Solve the problem - more goals is never a bad thing!

I am listening to the Jeff Blair show on the Fan 590 radio station. Early in the 11:00am session Blair and two retired NHL players were discussing the Leafs power play. Both former Pl.... seemed to be on the same page in not liking to put all there apples on the same line. They would like to see the players distributed between both of the Leafs PP lines.
While they were talking, I was comparing what they were saying to our beloved Ice Dogs.

Later today, once the conversation comes available, I would suggest you having a quick listen to the first 10 minutes approximately.
Actually, as I am writing this, they are still talking of the Leafs PP.

Just a thought.

I agree in theory... But that means PP1 can't be hogging the PP IceTime... 0:45 - 1:00 shifts at max... I get it the boys have a high compete level... But... Yeah... It's ugly to watch your top PP grouping flounder for 1:20 - 1:30 of a 2:00 PP...

Out of curiosity, what would lines would you Frankenstein for this team's PP1 and PP2?
