Can never count out SSM, but London is going to have its hands full with Guelph in the west. The Storm are a big, strong talented team.

Guelph also has a nice looking draft cupboard if they need to deal at the deadline.

The have 2nd round picks in every draft but one from 2019 to 2028. Even though, they cannot use any picks after 2024 with the new rules.
They have the same situation in 3rd round picks and even have a couple of years where they have 2 3rd rounds.
They have an extra 4th round pick should they need it as well..

...and Guelph is not going to need to add a lot to be the top team in the West!

I agree with you on your statement above.

We will see them for the first time on January 10th (draft deadline day) here at the Vault and a couple of weeks later, we travel there for a Sunday afternoon match. We have tickets for that game.

Saginaw Owen sound and the rangers could all end up being good this year as well

Given the strength other teams have already, and the size of their trade cupboard - this may not be Niagara's year afterall. The core (although still not at 100%) is not consistent, and the number of picks available pales in comparison.

Itís tough being a Ďgo-for-ití kind of team in a league where every other Ďgo-for-ití team has more money than you do.
You almost might as well not bother, because thereís just as much chance that you improve where you can, go for it with what you have, and you just gotta hope things break your way, and you get a good draw in the first round. Not only that, but also that a contender gets either knocked out, or at least gets a long, injury-filled, 7-game beat down.

It also means you have to likely trade assets most likely Tomasino and Constantinou.

I realize fans are just expressing their thoughts and opinions, but it seems a bit extreme to indisputably conclude that the IceDogs canít win a championship after only 17 games of a potential 80+ game season.

Especially, when you consider that despite the injuries, the IceDogs won 5 straight games before Fridayís loss - and are off to the best 17 game start in IceDogsí history. That includes 3 teams that made it to the Eastern Conference final Ė and two of them went on to the OHL finals.

Speaking of extreme, how do you go from "may" to "indisputably" in one leap?

I stand by my post. The management of the IceDogs must evaluate the team before any further additions, the impact of additions they can afford, and the comparative strength and purchasing power of any rival.
