I think they just assume everyone's available, then just adjust the depth charts as necessary. If everyone who was eligible was made available by NHL clubs, I don't think Canada would ever not win Gold..

All I'll say is this: Cliff Pu got jammed up big time by the committee. You'd think that being in the top 10 in OHL scoring would kind of put his name into the mix. And I have the sinking feeling that Cliff is going to take this snub and make every other team in the OHL pay for that oversight. If I were in his position, I'd take it personal. (Also, considering that Nolan Patrick has only played a handful of games this year, why HE's on the roster is beyond me.)

OTOH, MAYBE they're saving Pu for the 2018 squad-which(along with all the other teams)will be playing right down the QEW in Buffalo.

Patrick is no longer attending because of injury and maybe just maybe he got invited because of where he's going to be picked in the NHL draft and cause he's a good player

After watching Niagara's own Timmins last night I'm not sure why he wasn't invited. Quite clearly the best d-man I've seen this year. I thought he was just great last night. He'll be an after thought in the draft like Muzzin, Brodie or Giordano and 3 years from now teams will be wondering how they missed him.

He played well his skating I don't think is at that level. The cream of the crop is invited ... I don't see him in that select group ...
