Definitely not something someone should do for the money.

Doubt many think that way ...

They said some have approached it as a business but most approach it as a boy who needs a family. Some players have special diets and superstitions and if you didn't love them you wouldn't put up with it all. Some have had disasters for players absolute pigs, demanding, disrespectful (used condoms on the floor different girl every day). Yeah not a business! In case you wonder the billets and family usually sit over in 117 near the top. Nice people!

Looks like my guess was right. The IceDogs were team 9.

Awesome!!
Just like Ed said, we should be thankful that Bill and Denise Burke took a risk bringing great hockey back to this area.
If it wasn't for them, there would be no Meridian Center and everybody knows the rest; ie. what it has done to the downtown area.
I am so grateful they did and hope they continue to make money because they deserve it.
For anybody to speak badly of them is mind boggling

Default Rebirth of Junior Hockey and the Downtown.

Thinking back to the previous council and all of us volunteers that sat in on many council mtgns, special groups to attend mtgs, all attending them on rainy nights, I can wholeheartly feel very proud of what we accomplished for the City and all of Niagara for that matter, After volunteering as ushers for the first 7 yrs, my wife and I can feel darn proud of what this team has done for the downtown.. Thanks for having faith in our community. Bill & Denise. Grant (aka.). Black lab..

Here are two examples of OHL players becoming lawyers that were in the news recently.

The Toronto Star
London jersey collector Scott Galbraith alleged in a civil suit obtained by the Star that he paid $4,000 for a jersey worn on the ice by Toronto Maple Leafs first-round 2015 draft pick Mitch Marner, winner of the OHL’s most outstanding player award last year. Galbraith’s suit alleged the club “knowingly” passed off a “false letter of authenticity” as authentic and fabricated a “fake game-worn jersey.” The club denied the allegations in response to questions from the Star at the time. The case was settled out of court shortly after. The details are not public. “You hope it’s just carelessness,” said Galbraith’s London lawyer Gene Chiarello, who played for the Knights in the 1990s.

Ex-OHL star turns lawyer By Randy Russon, Sault This Week
Scott Tottle, who was a prolific scorer during a three-year OHL career with Peterborough that included spectacular seasons of 73 and 64 goals, playoffs included. A third-round National Hockey League draft pick of the Vancouver Canucks in 1983, Tottle never did make it to “the Show” despite his exploits as an OHL standout.
But he did return to university after playing at the minor-pro level and went on to become a lawyer and to set up practice in London, Ont., where he is now a partner with a personal injury firm.

Here is a great link to… “OHL Alumni of the Month Spotlight”
