Just to put this in better context for you, the ushers are volunteers. I saw a few of them speaking with attendees who were unmasked (and no, not actively eating or drinking) but nothing else happened. As soon as people realize there are no consequences, they do as they like. The usher did point to his "please wear facemask sign" but that was it. Security was never called or didn't show up.

Everyone weighs their own risks and comfort level maddog. If people have pre-existing health conditions or know they sit near people who won't keep a mask on for 3 minutes much less 3 periods, then fans have to make their own best choices.

To be fair to the Ushers, I didn't complain about the foul language. There were seats available at the end of our row so we just moved.

Its about mitigating risk dude.

I know I sure won’t be happy if they start bringing in big school groups. That is not acceptable risk.

I agree that we cannot keep living in a bubble forever eventually we will have to learn to live with it. It will take years for it o totally fade away if it ever does. Living in in a cocoon without social interaction is not good for your mind either. The Ontario government says 18,000 people can safely go to an arena for an event if masked and fully vaxxed. My employer has not even begun to contemplate bringing even a minority of its workers back to the office. So I have been working from home for 1.5 years now. I do not mind it but I would love to have the option to report to the office even just one day a week. That would do wonders for my sanity.

It is all about an acceptable level of risk each person wants to submit themselves to.

These are interesting times for sure

If I was making the rules. I would move to 75% capacity for a month to see if it triggers outbreaks. That being said, I am normally a cautious and pragmatic person even before Covid.

I wore my mask the entire game except when I was actually taking a drink of beer. The people all near me were the same. That was reassuring.

Informative postgame interview….Billy Burke being very forthright, honest and fair in his discussion of the players and the team – and good questions asked by Bill Potrecz, Brandon Caputo and Matt Young.
