Question now... where does he fit in our lineup?
His numbers suggest heís a first or second line guy

Wow! What an absolutely horrible trade!!! What were they thinking? This is huge blow to next year.

There's nothing wrong with the player or what they gave up. If they're planning a run next year they needed those assets. Short term I like this move and can't wait to watch him but it's not a great move if they're planning on going for it next year or the year after.

Trades are currency. We just gave up some of our bargaining power for all of next year for three months of this year - a year we are "not going for it". Boggles the mind. Next year when we load up for a run we now have less money in the bank to pay for new players because we wanted to pack a bigger punch this year.

I hate the trade. Why give up so many high picks for a player that wonít be around next year when it time to go for it? Those picks could have been used next year on a similar player. Instead in 3 months the player and the picks will be gone. The Dogs donít have a prayer this year, IMO they just threw money out the window.

His numbers suggest he's fairly easily the top player on the team. He's top 5 in the league in PPG. 52 points in his last 28 games.

From Matt & DJ's post trade report.......

IceDogs General Manager Joey Burke believes that the deal helps the achieve their goal of winning the division, while remaining in position to capitalize next year when the majority of the team’s 1999 birth years are in their last year of league eligibility.

“We were able to add an elite offensive talent who is in the top five in league scoring with little to no risk at all. We only gave up one third round pick in the next six drafts, and we had an additional pick in that draft. The deal allowed us to keep all of our young bodies and draft picks for next year. We want to win our division and this gives us a great chance at doing that,” said Burke.

In his interview with Matt and DJ, Joey stated that Miletic would play on the second line with Akil Thomas.

Those picks could of been used but they still have more than enough picks to get something done
