Just like to clear up a bit of misinformation that is floating around the ether. It is the common theme that the allegations against the IceDogs 1) have been proven, 2) have been subject to due process, 3) represent the integrity of the entire league.

The allegations are just that, a law firm's opinion and what they allege. This would be the same as the police conducting an investigation and heading straight to jail with a sentence. The OHL has imposed summary judgement without a review by a judge. So an "appeal" is actually the first time a judicial process takes place.

London fans are very smug in the opinion that since Kitchener, Windsor and Niagara are the only teams that have faced these types of allegations, then they are the only ones that are guilty of them. There are two other possibilities, they are the only teams that have been investigated in that fashion or they are the only ones who have gotten caught. This means that any other team could face the same consequences at the whim of the OHL.

Outstanding post, Red. Further to what you have written, with so much secrecy surrounding OHL recruitment rules, regulations and guidelines, would it not also be possible that numerous - strictly financial - sanctions has been levied on other teams (i.e. London) but was information never disclosed to the general public?
