The league is doomed, the team is leaving the league, the Burkes better sell ... wow, lots of speculation and predictions of doom.
I get the feeling they knew this was coming down. geez

There is no doom, the team will go on regardless of who owns it. It's the fans that decide if the team is worth watching.

Not exactly, they went down when they admitted to the allegation.

I must be dumb as a brick - what happened back in 2016 that would constitute a $250,000 punishment. I'm clearly not understanding a lot of the innuendo. I also don't understand then how London can put a sweater on Lochead and blatantly poach him from the Ice Dogs with no consequence. This league is screwy.

Lochead is the least offensive of London’s moves Look at the all decommit team post where the most egregious London maneuvers are listed in detail ... and there are plenty of them ! Dogs gave Lochead away for next to nothing ... it takes two to dance .... I have a feeling the Dogs were trying to ‘encourage’ either of Norris or Frederic to come to niagara for their 2015-16 championship run team Just a hunch on my part ... What I find really odd is it coming out three years later .... that’s what’s really bizarre ... someone must’ve had an axe to grind with the Burke’s ... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Windsor sanctions went down after they admitted they broke the rules. The Dogs management is not taking any responsibility according to the statement they released.

While I agree the franchise got hit hard, the Niagara IceDogs will go on; I would tell the fans here and elsewhere that now it’s time to step up and support our hockey club. While we may never know all the details of the how’s and why’s, the fact is, the Dogs made a mistake. Deliberate or not, what’s done is done: it was not the fault of the boys on the team.
Now is the time to put our Dogs sweaters on, smooth that logo over, and represent. While I do not believe that this will crash the franchise, the reputation of the Niagara IceDogs has taken a hit. It’s time for us to stand up and hit back. Go Dogs Go. |
