I think JB should learn to not talk with so much bravado before the season starts. Because he was not talking in the press that this would be a .300 win percentage team.


So if he has done such a good job, why are they a .300 (or whatever they are right now - too lazy to look) win percentage team?

Someone please explain . . .

For the 2019 run he spent draft picks like a drunken sailor on shore leave and I hope he has learned from that for the next run.

Hes showing that he has totally misjudged the abilities of the team he put together

Would you rather he come out and say hey we’re gonna suck again? Sure people on here might like the honesty but it probably wouldn’t be good for ticket sales which is partly why he says stuff like that

I think it's obvious you are leading people to believe that Marty is partly to blame for the team's poor performance. But as I pointed out, Marty didn't trade any of our young high end players, he traded away less picks than Joey and all of the picks were recovered the following season. Joey didn't "use what little was left" to assemble the team as you posted. He had a full assortment of draft picks. And I didn't conveniently lead that part out. There was no reason to mention it.

It's interesting that you think a 5th and 7th pick are insignificant. Struthers was drafted in the 5th round, Rosenzweig in the 6th round and Agostinelli was drafted in the 8th round. Would you say all these players are insignificant?

Joey traded away 18 picks and 2 conditional picks, which I believe may be the most picks ever traded away in IceDogs history. Stop trying to make excuses.

Trading away our young players was another mistake. Constantinou played last season when we were dismal so he could have helped. Or we could have traded him at the deadline for 3 picks like Kingston did. And we could really use Moore now but of course he was traded away too. Or do you have an excuse why Moore wouldn't have helped us?

It's pretty simple. Joey overspent in the 2018-2019 run and we are still paying the price 3 years later. That is not Billy's fault. That is on Joey!
