My biggest problem with Joey in the last run was not upgrading the goaltending and Brassard was an awful choice on the back end.
The Studnicka, Robertson-Paquette and Lodnia acquisitions I really liked.

I agree with you that Brassard was terrible and was a large part of them going down. Way too many dumb penalties.

It’s fair to say that…I would have loved Ned to be the IceDogs goalie. It’s also fair to say that if fans felt Dhillon was not good enough to win a championship than the same should be said about Guelph goalie Popovich. His playoff performance was uninspiring.

HOWEVER, overlooked for some reason, but probably the most important reason was the coaching decisions that resulted in the IceDogs chasing a championship with two legitimate OHL stars Akil Thomas and Kiril Maksimov injuried - both could and should have been avoided.

I think Betts is a better defense man than Brassard was so perhaps there is hope that someone does pick him up at the deadline. I agree with ff51 for the most part though, I doubt any contender acquires him and if so the return would be negligible at best. I could see JB keeping him just to reduce the embarrassment on the ice after the trade deadline . . .
