The 1st PP unit has the potential to be one of the 4 or 5 best in the league. If 3 rookies (Fimis, Castle and Roobroeck) can be the reasons for an effective 2nd PP unit, I have no doubt, Gushchin, Butler and Howard can be even better in the same roles with the 1st PP unit.

Well I was at both home games and taped the Ed and Steve intermissions..
Absolutely nothing mentioned of Cameron Butler continuing to struggle on the PP because he is on the wrong wing.
I will keep posting this till Billy Burke comes to his senses.
Perhaps Matt and DJ will chime in and do all us a favour and asked Billy Burke
"Why is Cameron Butler not on the off wing on the PP?

This was an important moment in the game. After a few earlier failed attempts, by the 1st unit, to create sustained pressure, late in the 2nd period Butler and Gushchin switched sides – and all of sudden they looked dangerous, moving the puck and creating quality scoring chances. Take a look…

So, 1:11 seconds into the PP, the IceDogs draw a 5-3 opportunity. This was obviously the definitive moment of the game, but instead of calling a timeout to rest the 1st unit, the 2nd unit was sent out for the 49 seconds of 5-3 hockey and most of if not all of the 2:00 minutes of 5-4…opportunity squandered, but the TIMEOUT was saved.

Just as a point of reference, in the Oshawa PP video above (POST #15), the Generals were in an almost an identical situation, down 4-1, they used a time-out, so they could keep his 1st unit on the ice to score 2 goals and get the game to 4-3.

I agree maybe a timeout was a good idea but other then the goal did you watch them out there they couldn’t pas the puck to each other
