Default Luca Caputi new head coach of the Niagara IceDogs?

All I can say is wow! I would have never expected Caputi to be so articulate, and interesting.

Luca was on the Niagara Sports Report this morning, talking about his days here in Niagara coaching Guelph (I didn't know it was for three years) and now Associate Coach in Kingston.

You can hear how good, and potentially how smart he is as a coach, the interview was here:

Now the question has to be asked would the Burkes consider him, and would you want him as Head Coach here in Niagara?

Burke’s won’t consider anyone until Billy try’s and fails again and if he doesn’t they definitely won’t change anything (talking about winning it all) assuming the Burke’s are still around then. As for luca being. Good coach who knows until he does it

Former player with limited coaching experience - isn't that what the IceDogs have already?

Did you listen to the interview? Might change your opinion. I was blown away with him to be honest.

It was a great interview but that means absolutely nothing when it comes down to playing games until he proves it

Are the Dogs bringing Caputi aboard in any capacity? I just heard Caputi’s name floating around today, and I thought he would be a great hire as an assistant Coach. But I wonder if we would have the same thing happen as we had with Ted Dent. AC has some ideas, HC, GM and owners don’t like ideas, so AC is shown the door.
But Caputi coming on could make things really interesting

When was Dent shown the door? I thought it was just him getting a better job just like Sparre. As for Luca as the new AC sure why not if he doesnít have a better job already

You were correct with Dent leaving for another coaching or a scouting job.

Speaking of Ted Dent, some unfortunate news about him from the Chicago Tribune..

Mar 22, 2019 - Ted Dent, a former Rockford IceHogs head coach, was arrested on domestic battery charges on Sunday by Loves Park police. ... When officers arrived, he said they used a battering ram to gain entry "in response to what they were hearing." Dent, 39, was charged with domestic battery ...

If we take a couple of seconds and visit the Kingston Frontnacs site, we will find the Luca Caputi has been hired to be their
Associate coach for next season.
