IMO AJ Cook is not an OHL caliber player ... the only reason he?s playing is because they have no one better ....

Maybe he develops over the summer who knows

If he not on the team next year IMO that is a good thing

I hate to say it, but I'm feeling the same way about Lucas Theriault, Jonah DeSimone, and Cook, possibly Sims as well... He's hot and cold. Nothing against any of them as people, but they're 'borderline' based on their play this season. Granted in the 1st half, none of them were really given much other than DeSimone. I think he would have been better off to have played a season in Jr B last season. He's shown improvement, but I think they did him a disservice last season.

Theriault is good on 'this' team, but any other year he would have not have made the team out of camp.

Cook has not benefitted from either last season or this one being shuffled around so much. I know a lot of it is injuries, but how do you find a groove when one game you're on D, the next you're playing F... He's a 'team player' and a good 'role player' type of kid, and maybe he should be on the team as a '7th D' or '13th F' not both...

Sims' game is soooooo up and down. Like Theriault, any other year, I don't think he makes the team...

This team is suffering from a severe lack of DEVELOPED talent. And they lack the kind of toughness that keeps other teams from targetting their ACTUALLY talented players.

My knock on the IceDogs management will always be that they have real trouble bringing kids along, and they don't draft toughness that makes the jump to the OHL, and their stars pay the price for that. Thomas and Tomasino were going to be superstars, no matter what. Their talent was next level coming in.

Going forward, the coaching need to improve. Whether that means BillyB's learning curve accelerates, or he gets moved to a different position within the organization is unimportant. Player usage, and development are not working at this point. Something has to give at some point.

Last week, Sam Alfano and Zac Lavoie were in attendance. Three good prospects have shown enough interest in the IceDogs to be a guest at a game.

I’m really starting to think that if a coaching change is not made in this upcoming offseason, that could be a touchstone for a disastrous turn of events for this franchise. If Mum and Dad are that tone-deaf to what has happened this season, I really worry about the future of this franchise...

Maybe it’s not actually that bad here and fans are just making things seem 10x worse cause that’s what fans do
