On the heels of the big announcement that the Niagara IceDogs have signed Daniil Gushchin (2020 CHL Import Draft 4th Overall Selection), IceDogs GM Joey Burke joins Kevin and Andrew to discuss how important this signing and others have been this offseason to help expedite the teams rebuild heading into the 2020-21 season.

I believe the next Captain will be Beraldo.

Maybe Billy will shock all of us and name Daniil Gushchin as captain. He often does things that are way out in third base.

Not sure who will wear the “C” or “A”s, but my prediction is that these 4 players will all be part of the leadership team.

Adrian Beraldo – His natural leadership abilities were evident last season, especially during the Tucker Tynan incident.

Daniil Gushchin – He wore an “A” with Muskegon, speaks English well and will be an offensive leader.

Mason Howard – Leads by example and when he was blocking multiple shots, you can see by the reactions of his teammates he has their respect.

Jake Uberti – After the trades, he took a huge step forward in his development and adding the role of leadership will accelerate his maturation into an elite OHL player.

I agree with 3 of 4. Giving Mr. Gushchin a letter would not be the Icedogs way. To my knowledge, they have never put a letter on a brand new player. They have to earn it.
PS:I could be wrong though.
