Watched 2 games last night and I believe 2 more scheduled for today. W.J. 2020 pre tournament games. Thought Chanton played O.K.

Thought that Chanton may have grown in the height department. Maybe. He was 1st line Penalty kill, I believe. and was out there when the Swiss had to kill a two man advantage.

First thing I noticed too!
Throughout the pre-tournament games (vs Germany and Austria) and the first World Jr game, Chanton’s game has steadily shown a degree of maturity. Similar to Jacob Paquette, his play is not flashy, but has learned to make quick and accurate breakout passes. Keep in mind, Chanton is only 18 – and only just turned 18 a few weeks ago. He is the youngest of the 7 starting defenseman on the Swiss team.

Tomasino with a beautiful GWG - received the puck on his back hand in full stride, not that easy to do. Through 2 games, Tomasino now has 3 goals and 2 assists.

Tomasino could be the star of the tournament so far. The announcers seems to be feeling that way too.

In live tv interview after the first period they asked Tomasino about being traded for 9 draft picks. LOL

He scored the first goal of the game too. He is having a great World Juniors.

An interesting development unfolding. That is now 3 consecutive GWG for Tomasino - and if we go back to last year’s World Juniors final, IceDog alumni have accounted for the last 4 GWG.
