A North Bay and Niagara series would be something like "David and Goliath" per say.
David slew the giant and we would beat North Bay. It would be very physical indeed but our small team always seems to like that kind of encounter.

My bucks would be on our team in 5 games, 6 at the most.

People are more interested in dwelling on the negative, unfortunately. Especially on fan forums, social media, etc.

This is nothing new, go back in history and look at the oldest newspaper you can find - is the headline positive?

From a fan forum perspective, if everything goes well and the team plays as you expected, I'd suggest that a collection of messages saying "yay" or "Go Dogs Go" or "we won", would get tiresome. We discuss issues, things that could be better, controversies, complaints and drama.

Walk down the street tomorrow and ask the first person you meet "how are you"? When they say "fine" ask them to tell you more about that and keep asking questions. Kind of weird huh? Yet if that same person said "terrible" or even "great, except for one thing" and you walked away without discussing it - then that would be weird

This concludes today's sociology lesson, now back to hockey

So true. People will rally in the streets to protest things they don't like, but are ho-hum when things are great.
