The fans, players and coaches called out the officials for a bad call and their egos were so hurt, that they actually called the game at the 11:41 mark of the 3rd period?

From the 2nd period on, the IceDogs were playing outstanding hockey - who knows what would have happened - but to call a succession of penalties to purposely ruin an entertaining game for 4800 fans is inexcusable.

It certainly was an entertaining game until the refs took it away! Despite the score I thought Rosey played well, especially during the barrage of shots during the numerous “soft” calls. Just wondering what’s up with Tucker…not even the backup tonight…trade possibility?…there have certainly been big changes in team personnel lately

Outside of that short stretch of 3 goals against in the 1st, I thought the Dogs played well tonight. 2nd period I’d almost go as far as to say they were dominant. As was already pointed out, that was a first vs last matchup and the Dogs played well.

I’m not sure where the league found the 2 clowns in stripes but wow! They looked barely old enough to have aged out as players in the O. Truly wonder if they were each calling their first games at this level.

The Dogs shouldn’t feel down after that game. They played well enough to win most nights.

I heard at the arena last night that Tucker is at the USA tryouts for the world juniors.

So ..... the beer can on the ice was the reason for the stupid (game deciding) bench penalty?

We were in that game. We had a real good chance. I am starting to like this team. Van Loon seems like a real solid addition and damned if Rosy isn't looking like a starting OHL goalie. He was on fire the last two games.

Bring on the rematch in two weeks!

Just saw this.

The fourth-year coach declined to comment on a series of penalties that had the IceDogs playing two men down for an extended stretch in the third period and had some fans throwing garbage on the ice.

“I can’t say anything or I’ll get fined,” Burke said. “The fans in the stands had a pretty good assessment of it.”

He is not unless they added him to the roster late and didn’t announce anything because camp roster is already out

No, the 2 minute bench penalty was Billy Burke mouthing off to the disgraceful refs and I applaud him for that.
I would have brought the entire team to the bench in protest the gong show by the refs.
