Strome to return from Isles??

Just a heads up, by NHL rules, all unsigned draft picks must be returned by this coming Tuesday. So if Strome stays unsigned he'll be back early next week, if the Islanders sign him he could play his 9 games or longer.

I think Strome has to skate a bit better yet to make the Isles the regular season is very diffenent then the exhibition i think he will be back we need him that is for sure

New York rookie center Ryan Strome received a five minute major and a 10-minute misconduct for boarding Stephen Gionta with 3:14 remaining. The Islanders took 47 minutes worth a penalties.

The Islanders played their final pre-season game tonight VS Boston. Normally in the final pre-season game teams dress the roster they expect to open the season with.

Ryan did not dress for tonight's game...

Also, players drafted in the first three rounds of this years draft have until this Tuesday at 5pm to sign a contract or they are not eligible to play in the NHL this season.

He can sign a contract and still be returned to the Dogs but he has to sign one by Tuesday if he is to play in any regular season NHL games.

Islanders made cuts this morning, sending 18 players to their AHL affiliate. Strome is still with the team....

As are Kabanov and Nino. Nino MIGHT make the team, but Kabanov won't. It looks like they just have not made their Junior assignments yet. They have 18 forwards, they still have to cut 5

Nino was injured the other day (groin) not sure how long he will be out. Could effect who they keep if it is a long term injury.
