Wow, Kitchener is 3nd lowest in goals for, 2nd lowest (er, 2nd from best) in goals against. Not a whole lot of excitement coming from that team this year, as far as the stats would show.

3-1 Dogs after 2...Playing a pretty good road game to this point...Go Dogs.

Not having seen this one(just radio) it's always difficult to say, but giving up a 3-1 lead blows big time. Typical homer OHL refereeing, from what Chuck and Ted were describing. I just think hitting from behind is a fairly easy call to make. Who knows, maybe losing games this way with the young team that the Dogs are is something we'll just have to get used to.

I watched the game and the officiating was not bad at all. If it is Haydon's penalty you are talking about it was no ones fault but his own. He was getting called for one penalty and instead of trying to get the puck from the guy he just kept hammering at him so it was a good call. Now losing the lead sucked and if Difruscia could have got it into the Kitchener end that play would have been different. And yes once again our greatest player on the ice was just pushing guys around and swinging his stick. I really would like to know when the owner and coach of this team is going to wake up and see Jesse Graham is not what everyone say's he is. Brent played a good game but I think he is out of his league in the OHL for now. Maybe a vetern back up goalie would give us a much better chance to win some of these games.

First, just to clarify, it's no longer Chuck (unless for today it was, I apologize, I just know he's not the regular anymore). That being said, I liked it a lot better when Chuck was there, I don't like the new guy with Ted nearly as much. I find now that they are becoming really big homers. From the games I've listened to, just about every penalty ever called against Niagara was questionable, but every power play we get was deserved and we should've gotten more. Plus, when I listen, it sounds like every goal against was just an unfortunate bounce and nobody on the team was to blame and no player ever has a bad game. Look, I realize they are junior aged kids and they shouldn't be the type of announcers that are overly critical and rip every decision and every play -- but if they aren't going to call out bad play when it happens, then how can I really believe what they are calling. I can listen to the post-game wrap up from leaving a game and think that I was at a totally different game than the one they are giving the wrap up for.

And they are definitely "Jesse Grahamers"...lol....They do see it a bit different then we do quite a bit.

Yeah, like I said i didn't hear it from start to finish. I may have missed some stuff. And yes, at this level, that being major junior, most if not all play by play tandems are homers. I've only heard these guys and the guys in Calgary.(Hitmen.)(also homers.)
It's not until the broadcasters 'graduate' to an NHL gig that they start becoming properly unbiased. And some still don't.(Hello, Pittsburgh)

100% agree. I often wonder what game they are watching. The Owen Sound game was perfect example... Graham coughed up the puck all night took a lazy interference penalty, got knocked off the puck over and over again and was second to the puck all night so he wouldn't get hit. In the car on the way home I turned on the post game and listened to them tell me how good he was that night.

They went on to say that Cody Ceci also had an outstanding game for Owen Sound. I literally laughed, because we were discussing at the game how invisible he was all night. The only time we noticed him was when he was stopped in the shoot-out.

The homerism is off the charts... I often think to myself, I hope fans from the other team don't find the post game show on their way home. It's borderline embarrassing. Take the red, black and white glasses off and call it the way it is. the way they describe it, it makes you wonder how the Dogs aren't 44-0. Of course every teams radio guys are going to be slanted towards their team but, c'mon. They can really learn from the tv guys, or listen to Kitchener game and how a pro like Farwell does it.
