Too lazy to go back through all the player info.
Does anyone have anything our our 14th round pick - Gregory Spitzmagel.
There is little info on him unless I have missed something here.
Would he be a player that could surprise like Brett Siebenhaler did who came to us in the 15th round?

Wow, first honorable mention!!

OHL Prospects

First HM is Niagara. Famis, Leonard, and Cooke is a great first three picks. Different players who bring a different element. Crucial to a successful rebuild. And I love Struthers and Wisdom as made round selections

IceDogs’ analysis of the some of the noteworthy rounds:

Round 1 - Excellent
A lot of high-end talent available in the 1st round, but in F - Pano Fimis at #2, the IceDogs got themselves an elite player with first line potential. Ludwinski was my next favourite, but admittedly, I did not see every one of them play.

Round 2 – Excellent
To get a high-end 1st round talent the calibre of D - Alex Leonard at #27 was good fortune. An elite skater who can hit like Mason Howard. “One of the best offensive minded two-way D-men in the draft.”
I have not personally seen F - Brice Cooke play, but every scouting reports speaks to a big physical LW who can skate, stickhandle and score. Perfect!

Round 3 - Good
IceDogs (#45) picked F - Dylan Rooroeck (6.03). I’m familiar with the play of 6.02 Lorenzo Bonauito (#58) and had they picked him, I would have rated this round as Good. For now, I’ll defer to the people who scouted and selected Dylan 13 picks early and assume it is also good?

Round 5 – Good
This was the perfect round to select a goalie. At this point Downey, Lalonde, Parson and Votary were the only one off the board, but they didn’t! Instead, F - Ryan Struthers. An interesting pick. I’ve seen him play several times – Oakville’s most dangerous offensive player. Don’t expect him to make the IceDogs this season, but give him another year to develop. Along with the good blood lines there is alot to like about this pick.

Round 6 – Excellent
Excluding the NDTP and NCAA committed players in this round, F - Zaccharya Wisdom was the highest rated player in that round. He won’t break camp with the IceDogs, but he is definitely a player whose progress is worth tracking. hockeyprospect.com and thescout.ca rave about his skill set – think Isaac Nurse on this one.

Round 7 – Poor
I don’t know much about Kailan Chen and apparently nobody else does either. All I know - this was an opportunity to take a local kid like Cameron Lowe or Ethan Whitcomb. Disappointing!

Round 8 – Unsure
Ryan Conmry. An American with good stats playing for the Buffalo Jr. Sabres. I’ve never heard of him. So I can’t comment either way, but Justin Varner and Harrison Ballard went after Comry and either one would have been a solid pick. Wait and see!

Round 9 – Poor
5.06 Stevie Li. Take a flyer on a NCAA commit instead. Zach Filak was the next pic. Upside is so much greater.

Round 11 - If he is half the player his brother was in the OHL…
Illia Chemelevski.

Round 14 – Good Effort.
RW Gregory Spitznael (6.02 / 200) drafted 6th round (#79 overall) by the USHL Green Bay Gamblers. That's the type of dart you have to throw at the board. Try something different.
