After the most EPIC collapse in the history of that pathetic franchise, it is safe to say, LEAFS SUCK!
I have never cheered so hard for the Habs! Golf courses in Ontario should be I. Great shape for the Leafs ... Go Jets Go! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

My guess is that if franchise goalie Carter Hart hadn't lead the league in worst save % and worst GAA Philly wouldn't have finished 13 points out of the playoffs. Have fun with the Voracek and Hayes contracts. They should work out great. 46 years and counting! Kind of Leaf like don't ya think?

Not that its an excuse but they got hit hard by COVID several of their star players got it all at once and when they came back they basically played every other day in March ... before they got COVID they were one of the better teams in their division ... once they came back they were pathetic .. I have no problem admitting that they sucked this year big time from March onwards ... to say their team defense was embarrassing would be a compliment . But this thread isnt about the Flyers incompetence ... is it? A Leaf fan talking about another teams cap problems? LOL that is pretty funny the Flyers cap situation is a heck of a lot better than the Leafs ...IMO Ps have fun with that Marner contract ... $11M a year for a kid who can?t do ANYTHING in the playoffs ...19 games and counting without a playoff goal? He has only scored playoff goals in I think 4 playoff games in his entire career Pps have fun with that Tavares contract ... great free agent signing ... sign a second line centre to big money when you really needed help on the blue line...that made complete sense.. PPS please resign Thornton and Simmonds, because of the Leafs cap problems that is all you can afford to fill out your third and fourth lines ... their veteran leadership and savvy was instrumental to their playoff success this year LOL Oh BTW, do me a favour and check and see how many playoff series the Flyers have won since the Laughs last won a playoff series in 2004, get back to me with the number when you have it LOL Even the doormat Sabres have won more playoff series since 2004 then the Laughs ... Gotta love Leaf fans ... FORE! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I never said the Leafs didn't have their share of problems. They should be ashamed of their performance both in these playoffs and obviously well before that. I'm not here to stick up for the Leafs and wouldn't. Just because I root for them doesn't mean I'm delusional. I believe in supporting the local team. That's why i support them and why I support the Dogs. That said you root for a team that finished 19 points behind them, that's goal differential was 77 worse, a team that's "franchise goalie" just had the worst statistical season in 20 years, that drafted the masters runner up 2 overall. I didn't respond because anything you said was wrong. I responded because you were being an annoying troll.

... Toronto (boy wonder GM) over spent big time[/QUOTE] To be fair to Dubas... 1)Several of those Bruins are so ridiculously underpaid it isn't even funny. 2)Besides Tavares who has a full no movement every other player could be traded. Sure some are getting paid handsomely but none are to the point they're untradeable. They could deal Marner today and get some real assets without retaining salary. At the end of the day they only have 3 contracts that would be considered good contacts IMO. Reilly's, Holl's and Campbell's. That's not nearly enough and that's 100% on Dubas. He tried to play hardball with Nylander and blinked first. The rest he just paid. |

To be fair to Dumas? Those Bruins are underpaid because they used leverage when negotiating them ... the Leafs had leverage and threw it away. They could definitely trade Marner but definitely not retaining salary I am not so sure about. It will all come down to quality of player coming back. And given his utterly embarrassing playoff performance I?m not sure who would want him for $11M per season LOL. That sound you just heard was the Leafs? playoff window slamming shut ... this was their best chance in a couple decades to reach the semi finals and they flamed out abysmally ... IMO their cap situation will lead to the continued deterioration of the quality of their roster ... imagine if they still had Connor Brown, Uncle Leo still on their third/fourth lines and not Jumbo or Simmonds ... cap casualties ...
